Yorwos Bakas is a Greek guitarist and songwriter. He was born, in Athens, in 1985. In the age of 6, he took his first music lessons, and in 2002, he graduated from the first Experimental Music High School of Greece. He also studied in the Kapodistrian University of Athens, in the Pedagogical Department. His music style, that he calls “vlahobarock”, is a mixture of eastern traditional music and electric sound. His music influences start from Umm Kulthmum and continue to Jimi Hendrix and Deep Purple. In this way, he tries to combine the beauty of Arabian melodies with the heaviness of electricity.
